Being on Capital Hill has its perks.  One of them is endless good restaurants in a 5 block radius from the office.  We put together a list of some of our favorites.  Warning: reading this may make you hungry.

Located just steps from our office door, Poquitos is a Mexican style restaurant decorated with beautiful imported tiles, high ceilings and finished with lantern pendants to complete the Spanish colonial ambiance. The back bar is great for small or large gatherings and equipped with garage style doors so you can get a cool breeze on a hot summer day. The menu is comprised of savory salads, tortas, tacos and scratch guacamole. Poquitos also has an array of tequila including jalapeno and habanero infusions to add a kick to any margarita or sip and savor.

Marination Station
You should all know Marination by now, but if not it’s Mexican + Korean Fusion. The station is their brick and mortar location, but they have trucks that roam as well. The food ranges from tacos to kimchi rice. Everything is delicious. You can pick up their Nunya sauce by the jar as well.

Rancho Bravo
It’s good. It’s cheap. It used to be a KFC. We recommend the rice and bean bowl, add sliced avocado, with a piña agua fresca.

Other Coast
Sammies. Ragin’ Cajun. Try it. Nuff said.

Samurai Ramen
Super yummy hot umami flavor in soup form. Lots of options. A bit of a walk, but totally worth it.

Lost Lake
It’s a hipster zone, so put on your tight pants. Foods good though. We suggest the tots with your breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Good food, great beer. The bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries is a favorite amongst Pensarians.
